Donations will further the work of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis (ACP) worldwide. The activities of the ACP include the development of educational programs for its members as well as for other mental health professionals. The ACP also facilitates collaboration among members in different parts of the United States and the world. Members of ACP are invovled in educational programs which cross international borders and are at times on different continents or different sides of the world through the use of videoconferencing. The ACP also stives to develop public information strategies to inform the general public about the value of a psychoanalytic frame of reference to the understanding of childhood, adolescence, and parenting. The ACP encourages the continued scientific development of the field. The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child , which has been published since 1945, is now the official journal of the Association for Child Psychoanalysis. Many Members of the association teach psychoanalysts-in-training and other mental health professionals, consult in Day-Care Centers, Nurseries, Parent-Child Centers, and Schools, as well as juvenile court, adult courts and with attorneys on forensic and legislative issues.
